Becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist is an intentional career change after having worked in Human Resources for several years. I’ve had the wonderful and unique opportunity to help many employees traverse the corporate landscape while juggling the stressors at home. As employees brought me the personal problems that affected their work lives, I found myself limited in how I was able to help them. I decided the only way to help them is to become a resource and champion for them. That decision led me on the journey to become a Marriage and Family Therapist and inspired my interest in couples counseling.
As an intern under the guidance and supervision of Anna Thomison, LMFT-S, I am excited to provide clients with the tools and resources to help them reconnect and revitalize their relationships. Family in all its glorious colors and nuances are the foundations that shape and mold our lives. I believe we need each other to make our lives meaningful. It is my goal to help others explore themselves, their relationships, and learn how to strengthen the ties that bind us together.

I am a first generation college graduate hailing from a small west Texas town. I was raised on a cattle ranch by a hard-working set of parents who taught me the value of perseverance, the beauty of family, and the invaluable lesson that life does not always turn out how we imagine. Yet, if we rely on our faith, our family, and our foundation we can get through anything.
I have been fortunate during my first career in Human Resources to have worked in large multi-national corporations and small family-owned businesses where I have had the honor of working with people from all walks of life. These beautiful humans gave me life experiences and an understanding that our differences are what can bring us together. I earned a bachelor’s degree in applied technology and performance improvement from the University of North Texas. I am a current student at National University earning a master's in Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in trauma. My goal is to attain licensure in Texas as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
My sessions are aimed at creating a space where clients are free to explore their challenges and feel safe in expressing themselves. A variety of therapeutic modalities and theories such as attachment theory, emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), narrative therapy, and the Gottman Method inform my approach in helping clients create powerful connections and craft the lives they envision.
With a specialization in trauma, I plan to work with adults whose traumatic life experiences have negatively impacted their lives. This includes couples where one or more partners’ traumatic life events are affecting the relationship. In addition to trauma, my aim is to help adults navigate the issues they face around death, loss, bereavement, and complex grief.
