NOW OFFERING SLIDING SCALE FEES IN IRVING, TX
From a young age, I’ve been inspired by learning and immersing myself in new and challenging experiences. This desire to consume more knowledge has grown into a lifelong passion for helping others, and it continues to shape my work in the field of mental health.
In my role as an intern under the supervision of Anna Thomison (MS, LMFT-S), I’m focused on expanding my clinical skillset and applying evidence-based practices to support individuals in their unique mental health journeys. I’m especially passionate about provding mindful and purposeful counseling, along with the meaningful connections it creates while helping clients gain clarity, build resilience, and work toward more fulfilling lives.
My approach is rooted in empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person’s story. My personal experiences with therapy and mental health have informed this approach. I live with an invisible disability, have experienced the loss of a parent to suicide, and have faced my own mental health challenges that led to me exploring the world of counseling. These personal experiences have shaped not only how I understand mental health, but also how I show up as a counselor – with compassion, authenticity, and an appreciation for the strength it takes to seek support.
I believe mental health care is a universal need, and I’m honored to walk alongside others as they explore healing, growth, and self-discovery.

I am a Hispanic Mexican-American of white descent born and raised in deep South Texas. I attended Texas Christian University (TCU) where I double-majored in Sociology and Psychology, and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology. While at TCU, I developed a great passion for advocacy as a member of the Fort Worth Fellows program, vice-president of the Sociology Society, and conducting research as part of the McNair Scholars program. Upon graduation, I thought it best to explore my interest in social psychology, mental health, and advocacy at UC Berkeley as part of their Post-Baccalaureate Program for Counseling and Psychology Professions, where I was a member of Dr. Mendoza-Denton’s Relationships and Social Cognition Lab. After my time in this program, I gained clarity in my gravitation toward supporting the wellness of others. Specifically, I realized that my passions, knowledge, and abilities were best suited for a career in counseling.
I am a current student at Northwestern University earning a master's in Mental Health Counseling, aiming to become a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I am on the specialization track for counseling children and adolescents, although I am also interested and being educated in counseling individuals of all ages.
I value counseling’s emphasis on empowering clients from diverse backgrounds through promoting healthy development, along with emphasizing growth, wellness, and advocacy. I seek to apply these values in my internship at Collaborative Solutions Counseling. I plan to help clients resume healthy development and address emotional or psychological concerns from an Adlerian therapeutic approach. The Adlerian theoretical orientation encourages positive change, emphasizes social connection, fosters emotional competence, and addresses early experiences to guide clients toward a healthy emotional, social, and psychological development.
While I will be specialized in counseling children and adolescents upon graduation, I am open to working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Further in my internship, I plan to work with children and adolescents, and have an interest in couples counseling. In my developing career as a counselor, I aim to become specialized in working with individuals with disabilities, immigrants and refugees, mood disorders, personality disorders, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
